How our handmade cold-pressed soap is made – from natural ingredients to finished product

Using handmade cold-pressed soap is not only a luxurious experience; it is also a conscious choice for both your skin and the environment. But how is this amazing soap actually made? Let us take you on a journey through our production, where we use carefully selected, natural ingredients to create unique and sustainable soaps.

Step 1: Selection of ingredients

We start by selecting the best ingredients. Our cold-pressed soap is made with high-quality olive oil, coconut oil, and shea butter, along with essential oils for fragrance and benefits. These ingredients are not only natural but also gentle on the skin, making our soap suitable for all skin types.

Step 2: Preparation of oils and caustic soda

The first phase of the manufacturing process involves carefully measuring and mixing the oils. Caustic soda, which is necessary to start saponification (the process that converts oils into soap), is mixed into cold water. It is important to follow strict safety precautions during this step, as caustic soda can be dangerous if handled incorrectly.

Step 3: Saponification

Once the caustic soda solution has cooled, we combine it with the prepared oils. This mixture is stirred at a specific temperature and for a specific amount of time to ensure that saponification occurs properly. This process creates a creamy, emulsified mixture that will eventually turn into soap.

Step 4: Adding fragrances

Once saponification is complete, we can start adding natural fragrances. We use only essential oils to give the soap a lovely scent and unique properties. Each scent has its own benefits, from relaxation to refreshing energy boosts.

Step 5: Pouring into molds

The finished mixture is then poured into molds, where it is left to set. This can take between 24 and 48 hours depending on the temperature and humidity in the room. During this time, the oils and caustic soda react further and transform into soap.

Step 6: Cutting and ripening

Once the soap has set, it is removed from the molds and cut into pieces. These pieces are then left to mature for at least 4–6 weeks. During this time, saponification continues, making the soap more gentle on the skin. The maturing process is crucial to ensuring that the soap is of the highest quality.

Step 7: Packaging and delivery

After maturation, we package our handmade cold-pressed soap to protect it during transport. We use eco-friendly packaging to minimize our ecological footprint. When orders are placed, we ensure that each soap is delivered with love and care directly to your door.
